Transitional Respite & Convalescent Care 

GreenLaFleur has been providing community home care for over 10 years and we have now opened a Respite Care Centre in Newmarket servicing the GTA including, Aurora, Markham, North York, Richmond Hill, and Stouffville. The services are available to patients, families, and caregivers.

At our facility, patients can receive the care they need 24/7 from our PSWs and other specialty healthcare professionals such as nurses, occupational therapists, and more. 

Convalescent Care

Convalescent care, also known as post-acute or transitional care, offers several benefits to individuals recovering from illness, injury, or surgery.

Convalescent care plays a vital role in promoting successful recoveries and maximizing individuals' quality of life after an illness or post-hospital stay. 

Our convalescent care program offers a supportive environment that aids in the recovery process, reduces complications, and facilitates a smoother transition back to independent living.

Transitional Respite Care

Transitional care ranges from short-term to long stays, and our service can help bridge the gap between hospital discharge and full return to the client's home.

The Respite Care Centre is also available to provide relief to family caregivers by providing a safe place for a loved one to move into for a temporary period.

The Respite Care Centre includes laundry facilities, a fully equipped bathroom with all safety features, a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area, and a patio for use in pleasant weather.

Complimentary parking is also provided.

Rehab Services 

Specific services provided include:

  • 24/7 supervised, customized care. At least one PSW will be on-site at all times.  Other staff are scheduled or called in based on client needs.

  • Nutritious meals are provided based on each client’s needs and diet restrictions.

  • Daily medication administration.

  • Regular housekeeping and laundry services.

  • Recreation programs.

  • Assistance with bathing.

  • Physiotherapy and other forms of therapy for rehabilitation.

  • Other personal care providers such as hair care and nail care come on-site as needed.
